Friday Evening Hike: Beer Garden + McKinley Pier Walk

Join us Friday, September 18th, for a late-summer evening at the Roundhouse Beer Garden at McKinley Marina, followed by a walk out onto McKinley Pier!

We did this event about a month ago and it went great, so we’re doing it again!

The event photo shows both parts of the evening...the Roundhouse Beer Garden and McKinley Pier.

I’ve taken a couple of jogs out on this pier, and it is such a cool experience. The pier stretches far out into Lake Michigan and offers amazing views of the lake and Milwaukee skyline. I’ve been looking forward to walking it with the group again!

We will meet at the Roundhouse Beer Garden from 6:30–8:00 p.m. This will give everyone plenty of time to grab some food or a drink, socialize, and meet other members of the group. I’ll also bring some games to make it a little easier and more comfortable to meet new people.

There is a huge public parking lot onsite, so parking should be easy!
At 8:00 p.m., we’ll leave the beer garden together and walk out onto McKinley Pier. The walk to the end of the pier and back is approximately one mile and should be a great way to enjoy Lake Michigan as the sun goes down.

Whether you are brand new to New Friends MKE or have attended several events before, this will be a relaxed and easy way to meet new people. We get people of all ages, and newcomers are always welcome!
