๐ **TIME:** 10:15 am
๐ **LOCATION:** Sleeping Giant State Park, 200 Mt. Carmel Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518
๐**MEETING PLACE:** By the entrance by 10:15 am.
๐ **PLEASE NOTE: ** Please arrive on time, as we will not wait beyond 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to start. BOTH HIKES WILL START AT 10:30 A.M.

ฟ๏ธ**PARKING:** The park attracts more people on Saturdays and Sundays, so give yourself enough time to find parking. Park either inside the park or on the road. Folks with CT plates park for free inside the park. Otherwise, you can park on the street (Mt. Carmel Avenue).
TRAILS (Choose which group you prefer)
๐ขCelin - Tower Path (Gray Blaze): ๐ถGROUP 1
๐ Distance: 3 miles round trip (1.5 miles each way).
โฑ๏ธ Time: 1-2 hours hiking + summit views.
โฐ๏ธ Difficulty: Easy to moderate. Wide, popular gravel path to the iconic stone tower. Steady, gradual climb with 360ยฐ views of Long Island Sound and the New Haven area. Suitable for most, including families and beginners.
๐ Terrain: Wide, well-maintained gravel path with a gradual, consistent uphill.

ฟ๏ธ Access: Main parking area, Sleeping Giant State Park (off Mount Carmel Avenue). Marked trailhead.
๐ง๐ฃ Joe - Blaze Color Orange Trail ๐ถGROUP 2
๐ Distance: 4.8 miles round trip.
โฑ๏ธ Time: 1.5 - 2.5 hours.
โฐ๏ธ Difficulty: Moderate. Generally less strenuous, traversing the park's interior with some views and woods. It may involve a steady ascent from Chestnut Lane.
๐ Terrain: Steady ascent, some rocky sections; appropriate footwear recommended.

ฟ๏ธ Access: Upper Parking Area from Main Entrance, Sleeping Giant State Park (off Mount Carmel Avenue). ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ Note: Family-friendly, but rocky sections may not be ideal for pets.

The park is known for its stunning views and rich history. Donโt miss the chance to see the iconic โSleeping Giantโ information!
