This class is a shared listening and reflection experience centered around the power of words. In each session, I will read aloud a selection of random books, poems, and writing entries. After each reading, the group will come together for open discussion, exploring thoughts, feelings, favorite moments, and anything that stood out or lingered with listeners.
Participants are encouraged to reflect on what resonated with them, what emotions surfaced, and what meaning or insight they may have gained from the experience. There is no pressure to analyze “correctly” or perform academically—this is a space for curiosity, connection, and personal response. Whether a passage sparks a memory, a question, or simply a feeling, all reflections are welcome.
This class is ideal for anyone who enjoys storytelling, poetry, and thoughtful conversation, and who wants to slow down, listen deeply, and connect through shared reading.

The readings for tonight will be 2 separate entries out of the book “This I believe”. This book is a collection of short entries about the strongest belief a person has. The start of class will be a quick entry of what to expect and any questions or comments can be put in the chat during that time. After the reading we will have a few questions you can choose to participate in if you choose. Along with any comments or theories about the text. At the end I’ll ask a few questions about what you gained from the experience what you were expecting and what could be better improved upon. Very excited to start this first class!
