The New Hope Metaphysical Society will be offering a special program on Wed, Oct. 23 at 7:30 PM at Pebble Hill Church, 320 Edison-Furlong Rd., Doylestown, Pa. 18901. Sound healer and Sacred Sound Practitioner, Dr. Mitch Nur, will be presenting a lecture and demonstration on "Sound Healing with the Sacred Instruments of the Himalayas".
Dr. Mitch Nur, has spent nearly 40 years as a Sacred Sound Practitioner and Teacher. An authority on Sacred Sound instruments as they pertain to ritual, ceremony, sound therapies, shamanic healing, meditation, and personal transformation, Dr. Nur has presented workshops and seminars on the therapeutic nature of sound for over four decades and is regarded as one of North America's oldest and leading sound teachers and sound healers.
Dr. Nur will discuss and demonstrate the traditional musical instruments of the Hindu, Buddhist and Bonpo shamans which are used in their sacred rituals and in their healing ceremonies. These instruments, which Dr. Nur call the “Metals of the Himalayas”, consist of the Himalayan Singing Bowls, Tingshas or Nagani Bells, Ghanta Singing Bells and Shang flatbells. A lecture, demonstration, musical meditation and a questions and answer session will round out the evening. Admission is $10. Light refreshments will be available. There is plenty of parking.
