Saturday Night, January 3 → Sunday Morning, January 4, 2026
This is important:
The Quadrantids peak after midnight and just before dawn, so staying late actually pays off.
## 📍 LOCATION
Our legendary night-picnic spot near the Bunkers del Carmel
High ground. Open sky. City lights below. Meteors above.
Bad decisions guaranteed.
## 💫 WHY THE QUADRANTIDS ARE SPECIAL
The Quadrantids are not the biggest meteor shower —
they are the sharpest.
🌠 Up to 100 meteors per hour at peak
⚡ Extremely fast and bright fireballs
🕰️ Very short peak window (miss it and it’s gone)
They come from debris left by asteroid 2003 EH1, likely the remains of an ancient comet.
Translation: space rubble doing overtime.
## 🌌 THE PLAN
🕢 21:00 — Meet up and walk to the picnic spot
🍷 Eat, drink, laugh, and question our life choices
🌠 After midnight — Quadrantids reach peak activity
🕞 01:00–04:00 — “One last meteor” (repeat 47 times)
🌅 Optional sunrise if we accidentally become nocturnal creatures
## ❄️ WEATHER REALITY CHECK

🦟 Mosquitoes are mostly inactive in January (yes, this is a miracle)
Cold replaces mosquitoes. ( A few of them evolved and have Jackets, Scarfs and gloves but not many so don't worry)
Dress accordingly.
