This is a small, low-key meet for people who want to get more involved in local activities — but don’t love turning up alone or blind the first time.
We’ll meet early evening for a relaxed drink and talk through:
what kinds of things people are curious to try (run clubs, tennis, gym classes, etc.)
what those activities are actually like
how easy (or not) they are to return to
Sometimes people decide to try something together another day.
Sometimes they just leave clearer and do it solo later.
Both are completely fine.
This isn’t a class, a talk, or a big social night — it’s just an on-ramp.
***
## What this is
A calm starting point
A way to lower first-time friction
A place to decide what’s worth trying
## What this isn’t
A party or mixer
A guarantee of friends
A commitment to anything after
***
## Who this is good for
You’ve been meaning to try something locally but keep putting it off
You’re socially fine, just not keen on first times alone
You like low-pressure, small groups
## Who this probably isn’t for
If you’re looking for a high-energy social night
If you want a hosted activity on the night itself
***
## Practical bits
Small group (kept intentionally)
Early evening
Look for a table at the outside part of the pub under the word 'mingle'
Actively is about helping people decide their scene — and, if it helps, going the first time together.
