Nevada State Prison Tour

Come see the Nevada State Prison Historic Site. This was once a working prison established in 1862, before Nevada was even a state, and closed in 2012. This is now a historic site. Come see and hear Nevada history. You can read more here or wait until the tour: https://nevadastateprison.org/history-of-nsp/. The ticket link is below under TICKETS. Important information including attire, length of tour, physical requirements, etc. is below under the Tour heading. Please read this information fully. I'll post another event up with an option for lunch for after the tour for those who'd like to go to lunch.

TICKETS: Tickets are $20 and must be purchased online in advance. BUY ASAP. TICKETS SELL OUT QUICKLY and are limited to 15 people per tour. Make sure to choose the June 28th 10:00 am tour at the following link:

Guided tour at the Nevada State Prison Historic Site

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Each guided tour will last approximately 90 minutes. Be prepared to walk about a half mile and climb about 60 steps.

The subject matter may not be suitable for children under 12 and sensitive persons. Part of the tour includes a visit to the execution chamber.

Tour availability is very limited. Thank you for understanding that there are NO REFUNDS!

Plan your trip to arrive in our free parking area no more than 20 minutes before the time on your ticket. Proceed to the gate for check-in. All members of your party should remain together at all times.

Due to the uneven pavement and site conditions, closed-toed shoes are required. Please bring water, sunscreen, and of course your camera for photo ops. NSP is a TOBACCO- & VAPING-FREE PROPERTY.
Your tour will conclude in our museum and gift shop. NSP merchandise and memberships will be available for purchase.

To comply with State of Nevada regulations, we must have a signed Waiver of Liability for each visitor unless they are a current employee of the State of Nevada. Parents or legal guardians must sign one for their minor children. PLEASE BRING THIS FORM WITH YOU.
