Discussion: The Art of Growing Older.
Details
Join us for a meaningful conversation about aging. We'll discuss one of life's universal experiences: The Art of Growing Older. This is a space for honest, thoughtful dialogue about what aging means to us, the challenges, the surprises, the wisdom gained, and the questions that emerge as time passes.
If you are interested in how our relationship with time shapes who we become, this conversation is for you. We'll explore big questions and learn from each other's experiences. All ages and viewpoints are welcome.
Come ready to listen, reflect, and engage with openness and curiosity.
Questions will Explore:
- What's something you've come to appreciate more as you've gotten older?
- What can only be learned through aging, not through books or advice?
- Do you feel like the same person you were years ago, or fundamentally different?
- What's a stereotype about aging that you've found to be completely false?
- What matters less to you now than it used to?
- What's the most important thing you've learned about living a good life?
- What did older people try to tell you that you couldn't understand until you lived it yourself?
- What advice would you give your younger self?
- What responsibility, if any, do older generations have to younger ones, and vice versa?
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a debate. This is a thoughtful discussion where we'll share personal insights, explore different perspectives, and challenge each other's assumptions respectfully.
Attendance Requirement: All attendees must purchase food or drinks from the cafe to support the local business hosting our event.
We'll also ask for a small $2 donation to help us cover the Meetup fees.
Come ready for great conversations, paradigm-shifting insights, and a welcoming community of curious and thoughtful individuals ready to examine the fundamental forces that drive human behavior.
Perfect for philosophers, psychology enthusiasts, anyone who love exploring the big questions that shape how we live.
