The Generational Gap: Seeing Each Other Across Time
Panera Bread in Paramus, 165 NJ-4, Paramus, NJ, USEvery generation sees the world through a different lens, shaped by the era they grew up in, the struggles they faced, and the culture that surrounded them. Our next discussion is an open invitation to Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z, to come together not to debate, but to listen and and learn from one another.
We may not have walked the same road, but we can still arrive at the same conversation. Every voice carries something worth hearing.
Come ready to share, listen, and maybe see the world through someone else's eyes. 👁️✨
Questions will explore:
- How did the world you grew up in shape your values and outlook?
- What do you wish other generations understood about you?
- How do we build communities where the gap between generations becomes a source of wisdom rather than a source of conflict?
Attendance Requirement: All attendees must purchase food or drinks to support the local business hosting our event.
Also, I'd also love your support! a small $5 donation helps cover the Meetup fees and keeps the group going.

Boundaries: An Exploration of Personal Limits and Respectful Engagement
Panera Bread in Paramus, 165 NJ-4, Paramus, NJ, USMost of us navigate boundaries every single day without really thinking about them. We say yes when we mean no, we feel guilty for protecting our time, or we struggle when someone else draws a line with us.
In this session, we'll explore the tension between protecting ourselves and staying open to others.
We'll also look at the other side: how we recognize and respect the boundaries others set. What does it mean to truly honor someone else's limits?
This is a friendly invitation to think deeply about the boundaries we set in our lives, how we respond when others set theirs, and what those choices reveal about how we relate to ourselves and others.
Questions we'll explore:
- Do you associate boundaries as something positive or negative?
- Do you practice boundaries only with certain people? If so, why them and not others?
- Do boundaries create deeper connections or get in the way of them?
- We've built a society where men are rewarded for taking up space and women are rewarded for making space for others. What happens to boundaries in a system designed this way?
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a space for exploration, not debate, where we listen as deeply as we share and make room for each other's reflections.
No expertise required, just an open mind and interest in learning from others' experiences.
Attendance Requirement: All attendees must purchase food or drinks from the cafe to support the local business hosting our event.
