The Cranbury Inn in New Jersey dates its roots back to 1750, when the first of two stagecoach taverns was constructed, with the second built in 1765. The two structures merged and became officially known as The Cranbury Inn in 1780, making it one of the oldest, if not the oldest, operating restaurants in New Jersey.
