What we’re about
Welcome to The Artist's Way Meetup! Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way has played a pivotal role my journey. It provided the structure I needed to navigate a way back to my creative self while opening avenues of playful exploration that breathed new life into my world.
I completed all 12 weeks by creating and hosting a community that provided the support and accountability I needed. Being part of a group where everyone was on a similar journey made me more accountable to myself and others. A few months later, I facilitated another 12-week Artist’s Way group, and noticed that the women who engaged consistently with the community were more likely to successfully complete the course.
It lights me up to share the Artist’s Way experience with other people ready to commit to 12 weeks of self-discovery through creative practices. Our journeys are enriched when we celebrate our progress together in the comfort and safety of our community. I know what awaits you, my fellow recovering creatives—insights, awareness, and clearer alignment with your life. It's really, really good!
If this is a journey you'd like to take, I'd love to be along for the ride with you!

📍 What to Expect at Our First Meet-Up
Wednesday May 28 at 6:30 PM at my home in Bowmanville.
We’ll meet each other, go over how the journey works, and form our ‘Creative Clusters’—small support groups of about four people each who will meet virtually once a week.

🎨 This Journey Is For You If You...
• Want to finally start—or finish—The Artist’s Way
• Feel creatively blocked, stuck, or unfulfilled
• Need encouragement and structure to keep going
• Crave a more playful and expressive life
• Long to create, but keep putting it off
• Don’t call yourself an “artist,” but want to live more creatively
***
🕰 Time Commitment
Julia Cameron recommends 7–10 hours per week, which includes:
• Reading one chapter per week
• 30 minutes daily for “Morning Pages”
• One self-directed Artist Date per week
• Weekly virtual check-in with your Creative Cluster
• Optional large group meet-ups (monthly, dates TBA)

💡 What’s a Creative Cluster?
Think of it as your creative support circle—a group of ~4 people who check in weekly (virtually) to share progress and stay accountable. Your cluster picks the day/time that works best for everyone and can adjust as needed.

🧰 The Two Core Tools
Morning Pages – Write 3 pages every morning, just for you. It’s a brain dump, a clarity practice, and a path to unblock creative flow. You never have to share what you write.
Artist Dates – Once a week, take yourself on a solo adventure. It could be visiting a gallery, taking a walk, exploring a shop, or anything that sparks joy and curiosity.

🌿 My Journey With The Artist’s Way
I’ve started The Artist’s Way multiple times, and each time it’s cracked open something powerful in me. Doing it alone helped me, but doing it with others transformed the experience.
The last time I went through it with a small group, we didn’t do it perfectly—but we did it. That imperfect journey gave me more confidence, more insight, and a deeper creative connection than I expected.
That’s why I’m offering this group now: to share the richness of this process with others who are ready to go deeper.
If you’re longing to reconnect with your creativity and you’re willing to show up—even imperfectly—this is your invitation.
