Stargazing with the Pontchartrain Astronomy Society

Several NOSHA members have requested info about enjoying a stargazing event, so we are lucky to be able to coordinate with the Pontchartrain Astronomy Society for their upcoming event at Pelican Park.
The park is huge, so we have attached a map of exactly where the event will be held (red dot) in front of Yellow Field #2. The purple line indicates the proper route to take within the park.
A high-tech digital telescope will be used in conjunction with a 100-inch display monitor for live imaging of nebulae and galaxies. Members of the Pontchartrain Astronomy Society will also be in attendance with conventional telescopes viewing the Moon and planets.
