A party with a purpose, is the best form of worship! Welcome to the 'New Orleans Chapter of Christo-Pagans'.
Christo-Paganism, or Neo-Paganism is a set of beliefs held by some neopagans that encompasses Christian teachings. Christo-Pagans may identify as witches, druids, or animists. Most, but not all, worship the Christian God, or the Father, as Jesus called Him, and the Monad, as the Gnostics call Him. Meetups involve activities such as burning bowl ceremonies with a blend of Shamanic, Pagan, and Christian ritual and practices.
What is Christo-Paganism?
It is a shedding of the doctrine of man imposed on Christians and the church. A way of washing away what doesn’t align with the true intent of the Divine as well as a journey into the vast world of Pagan arts, sciences, and theories of what it all means when it comes to our existence.
Christo-Paganism brings one a sense of peace, and though Christianity has many of those aspects in and of itself, the dogma of the Church establishment surrounding the teachings of Christianity is more foreboding than what was originally intended by the Divine.
"I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10:10) means Jesus offers a full, rich, purposeful, and satisfying existence, contrasting with the destructive aims of "the thief" (Satan); it's not just physical survival, but deep spiritual fulfillment, joy, peace, and eternal life found through knowing Him and following His path, exceeding worldly measures of success. It's a promise of an extraordinary life with meaning, purpose, and eternal hope, beyond mere earthly possessions or fleeting happiness.
Key meanings of "abundant life":
Spiritual Fulfillment: A life rich in purpose, love, joy, and peace that surpasses worldly troubles.
Beyond Mere Existence: More than just being alive, it's about experiencing life in its fullest, most satisfying form.
Contrast to Destruction: Jesus contrasts His purpose with the enemy's goal to steal, kill, and destroy, offering a life that overcomes these threats.
Eternal & Present: It includes eternal life with God but also a transformed, purposeful life in the here and now.
"Perisson" (Greek): The original word means "beyond measure," "superadded," or "exceeding what is necessary," suggesting a life overflowing with God's grace.
