About us
Welcome to the New Orleans Language Exchange Meetup!
This group is a friendly place to practice speaking and listening in English, Spanish, and Portuguese with people who enjoy learning languages. Our community includes learners from many backgrounds who want to improve their language skills while meeting new people.
Whether you are studying a language for travel, work, or simply for fun, you are welcome here. Our online meetups are relaxed and interactive, and everyone will have a chance to speak right away.
During our weekly meetings, we practice conversation, exchange cultural insights, and support each other as we learn. Most importantly, we enjoy the experience of connecting through language.
To make sure everyone has a chance to practice speaking, we will use breakout rooms for English, Spanish, and Portuguese. You are welcome to join any room that interests you and move between rooms during the session so you can meet new people and practice different languages.

To join our group, please answer a few questions and you will be sent the link to join our meetings. When you join our group, you can look forward to the following:
• Conversation practice with native English, Portuguese, and Spanish speakers
• The opportunity to speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish (or you can simply listen)
• Gaining the confidence to begin or to continue speaking your new language
• Improving your level of English, Portuguese, or Spanish
