This event is more than the sum of its parts, Absolutely Amazing! I am posting this early and will be posting in the comments when it gets closer on where to meet!

PARKING: Recommend Biking in, Uber or Lyft. Parking is on street in the park, this is a HUGE event! If you do park prepare to WALK! Bring Camp chair or blanket

Pittonkatonk is an annual, free, two-day grassroots music festival held in Pittsburgh’s Schenley Park (typically May) that blends global brass bands, local artists, and social justice activism. Buy a T-shirt or look for the Pittonkatonk Gofundme. This event provides scholarships to kids.

  • Music and Vibe: The event features 10-15 international and regional artists, ranging from Balkan and New Orleans-style brass to Afro-Cuban jazz and punk-influenced cumbia.
  • Venue: Held at the Vietnam Veterans Pavilion in Schenley Park, encouraging a casual, picnic-style experience.
  • Mission: Founded by musicians and organizers to promote community, amplify underrepresented voices, and connect music to political action.
  • Family-Friendly: Features interactive workshops, activities for children, and a welcoming, all-ages environment.
  • Logistics: Features local food vendors, is powered by green energy (solar/biodiesel), and is free to the public

MEETUP PEOPLE: Frank (Big Kahuna) will be there from 12 noon to about 5pm. Look for me, I look like my profile.
