New Places & New Faces CLT

Join us for a kickball game with the group. The name says it all. No fancy skill set needed. This is a noncompetitive event although we may talk some ish along the way. All skill levels welcome! We will randomly split into two teams to play. Super welcoming group!

*Open field so bring water and a chair if you would like.

rules:
Strikes:

• A count of three strikes is an out.
• A "strike" is a pitch that is not kicked and is not called a ball, and where any part of the pitched ball enters the kicking zone.
• A strike is also an attempted kick missed by the kicker inside or outside of the strike zone.

Balls:

• A count of four balls advances the kicker to First Base.
• A "ball" is:
• A pitch outside the strike zone as judged by the Umpire when a kick is not attempted.
• A pitched ball that does not touch the ground at least twice or roll before passing Home Plate.
• A pitched ball that exceeds twelve inches (12”) in height from the bottom of the ball

Kicking:

• Kick the ball below the hip within the kicking box.
• 4 Balls 4 Fouls 3 strikes

Running:

• Runners can overrun first base but can be tagged out if they try for second.
• Use the safety cones at first when coming from home plate.
• No leading off or stealing bases.
• Tagging up is required on caught balls.

Pitching/Fielding:

• Do not block bases or run paths*

Come join us for a pickleball games! This event is for pickleball newbies and beginners. If you're experienced you are welcome to join us for non-competative games (you just must be patient while others are learning). Feel free to bring your own paddle if you own one!

Price Includes:

1. Two hours of rotation play
2. Paddles and Ball Rental
3. Meetup Fee to require payment for event

Join us for Pottery After Dark! We will be checking out a local pottery studio in South Charlotte. Grab a bottle of wine or some beers and join us for a creative Friday. I am charging a small deposit that I will forward to lock in your spot and prevent no shows because space will be limited. The first to arrive will have first dibs at the pottery wheel.
