Join us for a kickball game with the group. The name says it all. No fancy skill set needed. This is a noncompetitive event although we may talk some ish along the way. All skill levels welcome! We will randomly split into two teams to play. Don't let the number of RSVPs scare you off. Super welcoming group!

Come on now let's go kick some balls!

*Open field so bring water and a chair if you would like.

rules: Strikes:

  • A count of three strikes is an out.
  • A "strike" is a pitch that is not kicked and is not called a ball, and where any part of the pitched ball enters the strike zone.
  • A strike is also an attempted kick missed by the kicker inside or outside of the strike zone.
  • A pitched ball that has passed through the strike zone and passes completely through the back of the kicking box is considered a strike, even if the ball is touched after passing through the box.

Balls:

  • A count of four balls advances the kicker to First Base.
  • A "ball" is:
  • A pitch outside the strike zone as judged by the Umpire when a kick is not attempted.
  • A pitched ball that does not touch the ground at least twice or roll before passing Home Plate.
  • A pitched ball that exceeds twelve inches (12”) in height from the bottom of the ball as it enters the kicking box.
  • A pitched ball that exceeds twelve inches (12”) in height from the bottom of the ball at any time while passing through the kicking box, prior to reaching the kicker.
  • A pitched ball that exceeds twelve inches (12”) in height from the bottom of the ball as it crosses Home Plate.
  • A "ball" that has passed through the kicker’s box and passes completely through the back of the kicking box will be considered a “ball”, even if the ball is touched after passing through the box

Kicking:

  • Kick the ball below the hip within the kicking box.
  • 4 Balls 4 Fouls 3 strikes

Running:

  • Runners can overrun first base but can be tagged out if they try for second.
  • Use the safety base at first when coming from home plate.
  • No leading off or stealing bases.
  • Runners must stay within the baseline.
  • Tagging up is required on caught balls.

Pitching/Fielding:

  • Pitch the ball by hand.
