Exploring Tech Nonprofits

Details
This September’s FutureTalks panel will feature a discussion on how tech nonprofits are changing the face of both tech and nonprofits - pushing the tech industry towards a focus on the equity based needs of their end users while helping nonprofits understand how partnering with and introducing more tech can promote programmatic innovation and growth. We’re excited to feature industry shaping speakers from New Relic, Fast Forward, and TechSoup.
Meet our experts:
ERIN DIETERICH (she/her) designs, oversees and drives the strategy for New Relic’s corporate Environmental, Social, Governance and Social Impact efforts. Aligned around a vision of creating more equitable access to technology, these efforts include employee volunteerism and giving, global community partnerships and product impact efforts - including the Observability for Good and New Relic for Students, which provide free access and enablement with New Relic. Prior to joining New Relic, she led Corporate Citizenship at NetSuite and designed award-winning employee volunteerism initiatives for Discovery Communications (now Warner Brothers Discovery). She has a Journalism degree from the University of Maryland and lives in Portland with her husband and two kids.
SHANNON FARLEY (she/her) is the Co-founder and Executive Director at Fast Forward and an experienced social entrepreneur. Before Fast Forward, she was the founding Executive Director of Spark, the world's largest network of Millennial philanthropists. Prior to joining Spark, Shannon co-founded The W. Haywood Burns Institute, a MacArthur Award-winning juvenile justice reform organization. Shannon holds a BA in American Studies from Georgetown University and an MS in Gender and Social Policy from the London School of Economics.
MARNIE WEBB (she/her) is the Chief Community Impact Officer for TechSoup and leads Caravan Studios, a division of TechSoup. In her role, she works with communities around the world to describe desired impact and to develop technology solutions that help them move towards that impact. Her work is influenced by human centered design principles, as well as methodologies from social work and international development, such as Participatory Action Research. She has been working with civil society, governments, academia, and corporations for more than 30 years to put together teams and solutions that can accomplish big goals, with and for communities.
