What we’re about
Are you learning Italian and looking for more opportunities to practice? If a sufficient number of people are interested, I’d like to form a weekly Italian conversation Meetup somewhere around the central San Diego area.
About the Group - The purpose of this group would be to practice and improve our Italian language skills together. Learners of all levels would be welcome, as well as native speakers who wish to join in.
However, this would not be an Italian heritage or cultural affinity group, nor would it be the place to begin learning Italian from scratch. Members would be expected to already know at least some Italian and be actively studying and improving their Italian skills.
Where We’d Meet - We would meet once a week, during a happy hour, at a centrally located Italian restaurant somewhere near the coast between downtown and La Jolla.
A note on supporting our venues - Good venues for MeetUps are difficult to find, and many restaurants are working hard just to stay afloat in this economy. As a courtesy to our host, we would ask attendees to order a beverage and/or some food if at all possible. This will help us show appreciation and ensure we remain welcome at the venue. (Most people need no reminder of this, but the issue occasionally arises.)
