Hi folks,

While geopolitics continue to divide us across Europe, Americas and the Middle East, nature has provided us an excellent opportunity to celebrate two holy events of Muslim and Hindu faiths together.

To provide some context, Eid Al Fitr is a joyful Islamic festival that marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting. It is a time to celebrate, express gratitude and be together. It will be celebrated on 21st or 22nd of March this year, depending on the sighting of moon.

Navaratri is a major nine-night Hindu festival dedicated to worshipping the divine feminine energy (Shakti) and Goddess Durga, celebrating the triumph of good over evil. It will be celebrated from 19th to 27th of March.

Since Navratri is strictly a vegetarian festival, I have chosen Beeji Dhaba - a vegetarian restaurant - for our dinner.

Please RSVP to confirm your attendance.

Looking forward to see you all!

Your host,
Khurram
