### Anxiety & the Artist: finding steadiness in the chaos of creativity

Anxiety is a common but often unspoken part of the creative experience. It can show up quietly...before a performance, during the writing process, while promoting a new release, or in the long silences between projects. For many music creators, the pressure to succeed, be seen, and stay inspired can feel overwhelming.

This month’s Music Creator Mental Health Support Group focuses on understanding how anxiety affects artists, both personally and professionally. Together, we’ll talk about the ways anxiety can shape our work, challenge our confidence, and sometimes keep us from moving forward.

Together we’ll explore:

  • What anxiety can look like in a creative life
  • How it shows up in performance, production, and promotion
  • The link between perfectionism and creative paralysis
  • Simple, real-world strategies to stay present and grounded

This isn’t a therapy session. It’s a conversation space created by and for music creators who understand how tough the industry can be. Whether you’re just beginning to recognize anxious patterns or have been carrying this for a long time, this group offers connection, reflection, and support.

You’re welcome to share or simply listen; whatever feels right. All participants sign a confidentiality agreement, ensuring that what’s said in the room stays in the room.

You don’t need to have the answers. You just need a place where the questions are safe to explore.
