Cider House and Cherry Picking!

This is worth the 12 miles drive west of Salem! Voted Best in the Willamette Valley, Salt Creek Cider House serves up local hard cider, sodas, pizza by the slice and a delicious snack plate. Bringing your own picnic is also encouraged.

If you've never u-picked cherries before, it’s surprisingly easy and fun! The farm offers ladders (plenty to pick without use of a ladder) and buckets for U-pick. Small and large boxes of picked cherries are also available. U-pick was $2.50 pound last season. If you’re picking a large amount, pease bring a bag, bucket or box to take your cherries home in, they usually only have small paper bags.

Noon - Salt Creek Cider House Picnic tables in the shade.

2:00 - Cherry Orchard located very near the cider house at 15618 Dallas Coast Hwy with an entrance off Salt Creek Road very near the highway.

3:00 - 5:00 String Band back at Salt Creek Cider House - unhosted part of this event. I highly recommend you bring an ice-chest for your cherries, if you stay for the music, so they don’t bake in your car.
