A figure of Eight

Todays walk will have the option of either a 5 or 7.5 mile walk. We start from Shalford Scout HQ GU4 8DB with adjacent car park before walking along the river way towards Guildford before heading up Pilgrims Way then into Chantry Wood for some great views of the villages. We then head down through beautiful rape fields, passing the cricket pitches in Chilworth, then back to the Scout HQ. There are now the options of a Carvery roast at the Queen Vic pub £19.95, lighter meals at the Snooty Fox or feel free to bring your own sandwiches.

For the second part of the walk we shall be leaving 2.30pm from the Scout hut we will turn left following the River Way towards Godalming before our ascent to the top of Chinhurst Tower with great views towards Bramley and beyond. The route continues down and concludes back at the Scout hut arriving around 4pm
