Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder but we spend virtually all of the time walking through woodlands, open fields, farmland or roads with lovely houses. If you like thatched houses, barns, horses, sheep, gamebirds and lots of other wildlife what can be wrong. I really enjoy this walk and I suspect most of you will as well as long as you can do the distance of 6.5-7 miles!

This is a walk I last did 2 years ago and It took me 2 hours and 40 minutes without a break last time I reccied it and I was not slow, so allow 3.25 to 3.5 hours and bring water and a snack perhaps.

Long trousers are very much recommended as we do pass a few narrow paths which may have some nettles and grasses overhanging.

NO DOGS AND £4 PLEASE.

You can call me on 07395 004461 if you are late or lost and you can catch up if you phone me and follow my instructions.

The sat nav will probably get you lost, so from the A3 Painshill Junction, go towards Cobham down the hill. Over a mini roundabout by Sainsburys and at the next mini roundabout turn right onto Between Streets. Turn right at Waitrose onto Downside Bridge Road until you reach the Cricketers pub on your left. Turn left very soon after onto Downside Common Road and then continue onwards bearing right at the junction onto Bookham Road and drive below the motorway and as far as you can which will take a couple of minutes. The postcode is for the stud farm before you reach the car park. You will then reach Hundred Pound Bridge car park where I will be waiting. It is only small so you may need to park on the approach road so please try and arrive early.
