Colorado Winter Retreat

Come with me on the stunning Colorado winter road-trip

I’m wanting to do a Winter Vacation a little differently this year. In my experience the only way to make friends is to do the stuff you like to do and open it up to everyone and see who would also like to try something like this.
I’m planning a Birthday/New Years expedition to somewhere in the Colorado mountains for the last week of December 2025 (there will be another trip planned for April 2026 if you can’t make this one)
I wanted to give everyone plenty of time to save plan and communicate with me to make this the EASIEST, CHEAPEST, SAFEST, group trip I’ve ever done.
HOW IT WILL WORK I would prefer the cabin we choose together (Airbnb. Or VRBO ) have a deposit paid on at least by September 30th ALL PAYMENTSwill be split EQUALLY between all PERSON ( a couple does not count as one person and you will split the cost in two for the sake of the group )
This event IS NOT CHILD FRIENDLY There will be DANGEROUS animals. This state is also legal in recreational use* (IYKYK AND GET AN INSTANT INVITE)
This event is COUPLE FRIENDLY Encouraged even seeing as I will be coming with my man.
Pet policy will differ depending on how we get there!
FLIGHTS Ranges around 500$ EACH roundtrip
DRIVING We can rent two Vehicles (Turu SVU REQUIRED) Routine cost of gas for an SVU is 300$ each car can have two - three insured drivers on the vehicle THOSE WHO ARE NOT INSURED ENJOY BEING PASSENGER PRINCESSES YOU DO NOT DRIVE FOR ANY REASON
We will choose who rides with who (possibly couples in one and singles in another, depends who is also insured we want everyone to be able to switch at least once so nobody is driving tired)
The price of that car will then be split by all the people who are in that vehicle. Each stop for gas every person will put money forward for the gas in the vehicle. (There will be a gas tank in each car anything left after filling up the car will go into the extra gas tank ) -that’s for a safety reserve for emergency when riding through the mountains - and that way nobody can complain about the extra 5-10$ if it ever is to much (as we see how much we use it will get better at exact change)
GROCERIES OR EATING OUT???
I’ll be honest I LOVE cooking for giant groups. I know some men or women would like to try out there cooking or grilling or baking skills. It’s cheaper to buy groceries the day we get in then it would be to pay 1000$ meal ticket at a restaurant. (You can still go out and eat I am making reservations for me and my fiance at a nice restaurant on my birthday) I’m great at budgeting and we can all come to an agreement on how much to spend on groceries for the cabin. Details to come later
ACTIVITIES Anything I can get a group deal on I have no problem reserving and splitting total cost between anyone who would like to go. You can split off and find something you like to do separately or together Sunrise group hike will be scheduled at least once (optional) Ski day Hot chocolate and snow mobiles
At least ONE car will be left at the cabin in case anyone who doesn’t want to leave and do an activity has a way off the mountain in case of emergency
