What we’re about
Hey there! Welcome to the Meetup Page of Middle Sibling Productions! Come join us for some super casual theatre events in Manhattan and beyond! We host communal readings every Saturday, a playwriting salon every other Saturday, and a play club every other Sunday! We'll be reading a different play each time, and we'll provide a digital link to the play so you can follow along. No acting or theatre experience required—we're just here to have a good time!
For our Saturday readings, We suggest bringing a digital device to read the play on, as we may change the play depending on the number of attendees. If you don't want to read, that's totally fine—we always appreciate new faces and an audience.
For our monthly play club, we discuss well known classics and lesser known contemporary pieces. We highly suggest reading the play in advance so you can participate fully in our group discussion. We will always post a digital copy that is free to use, but if you have a physical copy feel free to read from that. We always love to see all the different editions of a play!
While our group primarily focuses on contemporary works, we want to ensure our community has the chance to read plays from all time periods. In this effort, we have partnered with another great Meetup organization, the New York Shakespeare Reading Group. In a format similar to our weekly meetings, this group gets together to read and discuss Shakespeare and other classical playwrights. You can find all of their events here.
MSP is committed to enuring participation at all levels is attractive, safe, and enjoyable for all. By signing up for any of our events you agree to abide by our below code of conduct.
