We haven't been to OM in a while, so it is time to go back! Please join me for an 8 person, 5 wine Friday night at one of my neighborhood favorites, OM Indian Food. WE will be drinking two white wines (Riesling) and three red wines, all from WA State.

OM is located at 1531 York Ave, Corner of 81st Street. They do charge a small corkage fee, which is included in the price of the event.

NOTE: Meetup charges a "Partner Fee" that is above and in addition to the listed price of the event. It comes to approximately $3 more for each RSVP. You will see this charge when you complete your rsvp and pay for the event. Sorry! NOTE: Meetup+ members are exempt.

Just a reminder of our usual rules:
* The cost of this event is $34 and is for the cost of the wines and corkage only. You will also have to pay the cost of your food (plus 33% for tax and tip). Please order at least two courses (i.e. a main dish and either appetizer or dessert) for your dinner.

Please use public transportation - NO DRINKING AND DRIVING!

Please read and understand the group's cancellation policy. If you take spot, then cancel, and no one else takes the spot, you will not receive a refund. No refunds or credits will be given for no-shows or late cancellations (unless someone else takes your spot). There is also a $5 service charge for cancellations.

The Wines (notes will be distributed at the dinner):

2023 Loersch Trittenheimer Apotheke Riesling Jungheld GG Trocken ($45) - Mosel Fine Wines 92 points, "The Jungheld 2023 Trittenheimer Apotheke GG, as it is referred to on the central part of the label, was made from fruit harvested on 80-120-yearold un-grafted vines in this prime south-west-facing sector of the Apotheke and was fermented down to bone-dry levels of residual sugar (2.5 g/l) and aged in an acacia cask. It offers a beautifully appealing, elegant, and smoky nose of yellow flowers, lemon zest, spearmint, white pepper, fresh almond, and fine spices. The wine is rather taut and linear, with fairly pronounced acidity and a racy edge. There is plenty of citrus zest and spices to reinforce the wine's sharpness. The finish is still austere and racy, but already very long and fully bone-dry. This great, racy dry Riesling needs a few years to fully deliver. 2028-2038+"

2024 Loersch Trittenheimer Apotheke Riesling Vogelsang ($27) - "The 2024 Riesling Trittenheimer Apotheke Vogelsang trocken is from the eponymous south-facing parcel within the Apotheke. It is a monopole for Loersch, on blue Devonian slate with reddish veins. The 2024 was made in stainless steel. A beautiful note of bright lemon is immediate on the nose. The palate is stony, salty and savory yet bedded on immense juiciness, with wonderfully buffered, lithe freshness. It has a gorgeous lemon streak with real tension. (Bone-dry)" 92 Anne Krebiehl

2022 Rôtie Cellars VDP ($29) - From WA State, this GSM blend is a "Club only" wine that I was able to snag without joining the club. In 2022, VdP is a 34/33/33 blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre, with listed alc at 13.9%. The nose clearly blends Grenache’s brambly red fruit (raspberry, pomegranate) and sagebrush with deep minerality and appealing savory tones from the Syrah and Mourvdre—think bacon fat and demi-glace. What a gorgeous, balanced vintage this ’22 is, with plump red-fruited generosity paired to savory/meaty notes and appealing back-half structure. The tannin profile is so dusty and polished, such an easy approachable swallow."

2019 Soos Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Terrible Beauty ($30) - My final bottle of this vintage, I poured a bottle of this two months ago at OM and it was the WOTN!

2022 City Limits The Citizen ($16) - From WA State's Two Vintners Winery. A 50/50 blend of Zin and Cabernet Sauvignon. We had this at a Burger and Zin night and loved it. How will it go with the food at OM?
