Just a reminder of our usual rules:
** The cost of this event is $75 and is for the cost of the wines only.
NOTE: Meetup has started charging a "Partner Fee" that is above and in addition to the listed price of the event. It comes to approximately $4 more for each RSVP. You will see this charge when you complete your rsvp and pay for the event. Sorry! Meetup+ members are exempt from this charge.
You will also have to pay the cost of your food (plus 33% for tax and tip). Please order at least two courses (i.e. a main dish and either appetizer or dessert) for your dinner. There are very few restaurants that allow us to bring our own wine for a Zero corkage fee. We must be good guests to encourage the restaurant to continue to be generous to us.

The Wines :
2022 Realm Cellars Sauvignon Blanc Fidelio ($100) - I don't have a review for this, but it is a Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. WA has only reviewed the 2024 vintage, and here is that review, "The 2024 Sauvignon Blanc Fidelio is all Sauvignon Blanc from the Farella Vineyard in Coombsville. Picked on two or three dates, fermented in stainless steel and then aged in a combination of concrete eggs, clay amphorae and an older foudre, it features hints of crushed stone, passion fruit, pink grapefruit, fig and guava on the nose. It's medium-bodied and silky in texture, with a nice line and length and a clean, refreshing finish."
2007 Hewitt Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon ($85) - From Rutherford, WA 93 points, "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is a slightly softer, more forward wine, but it should last just as long. It is more typically Californian in its opulent black currant fruit intermixed with notes of chocolate, crushed rocks, vanilla, and black fruits. The tannins are sweeter than in the 2006, and the wine is full-bodied with a layered texture, admirable purity and depth, and a blockbuster finish with no shortage of tannin. Approachable now, it will be better in 2-3 years, and should last for 20-25 years. (drink 2009-2034)"
2014 TOR Proprietary Red Wine ($160) - WA 95 points, "The 2014 Proprietary Red from Oakville is 44% Cabernet Franc, 44% Petit Verdot and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a fabulous wine and a creative blend from Kenward. With a fabulous nose of forest floor, white flowers, licorice, incense, blackcurrant and blueberry fruit, this deep, sumptuous, full-bodied wine has fabulous intensity, low acidity and finely grained, integrated tannins. There is not much of it, but it is a beauty. It can be drunk now or cellared for another two decades. (drink 2016-2036)"
2016 Outpost Cabernet Sauvignon ($135) - WA 95 points, "Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 20 months in French oak, 80% new, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet-purple color, slowly revealing profound blackcurrants, baked black cherries, plum preserves and licorice notions with hints of Chinese five spice, chargrilled meats and tilled earth plus a waft of yeast extract. Full-bodied, firm and grainy with amazing freshness and loads of emerging layers, it finishes very long and wonderfully layered. 1,198 cases were made."
2017 Lewelling Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Wight ($85) - JD 97 points, "One of the greatest values in Napa Valley Cabernet, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Wight Vineyard is a barrel selection all from the Lewelling Wight Vineyard. Brought up in 90% new French oak, this inky purple-hued beauty boasts a heavenly nose of ripe blueberries, cassis, violets, and graphite, with more damp earth and tobacco nuances emerging with time in the glass. Slightly deeper and richer than the classic Cabernet Sauvignon release, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a massive mid-palate, sweet tannins, and a great, great finish. It’s one of the sexiest, most opulent, and pleasure bent releases in the vintage. (Drink between 2022-2047)
