Good morning everyone!

In preparation for this meeting, have 3 medium - term goals planned for the foreseeable future. Here's some examples:

  • Lose 20 lbs by the New Year (2 month term)

  • Get a new job (usually 3-6 months, although I know the job market is brutal right now)

  • Design a prototype

  • Build a website

  • Apply to grad school

  • Get a gym membership, be consistent (3-4 X / week)

  • Budget consistently and save a sum of money

Now, take those goals and format them in the SMART format (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time Bound).

The idea is that we have so many goals, and the reality is that we can only really focus on 2-3 at at time. The goal is to cut out the noise, achieve a few things at a time, and let the effects snowball with more goals.

We'll state our goals, break them down into smaller, daily pieces (build a prototype -> design it digitally, or order parts by mid week, etc), and set an agenda for mid week. The goal is to break things into little, manageable pieces.

It's the first meeting, so we'll experiment with documenting the goals on a spreadsheet or not. If any of you have worked in corporate, it's similar to having a good manager and doing morning standup haha.
