Hike Long Island: 20 MILES Or Bust!
Details
CHOOSE TO BE EPIC TODAY! Let's take a hike on the Nassau-Suffolk Greenbelt trail starting in COLD SPRING HARBOR (NOT COLD SPRING upstate!) making our way south through Trail View State Park, through Bethpage State Park all the way to Massapequa State Park. Total Mileage is about 20 MILES.
Disclaimer: Now I don't know even if I can do the whole 20 miles in one day. But I'm going to give it the ole college try!!
About the trail: The Nassau-Suffolk Greenbelt Trail extends from Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island Sound and heads south across the entire island ending in Massapequa. The first half of the trail is considerably hillier than the second half. The trail is well-marked and easy to follow. The path is near private property and some busy roads in some spots.
