Turkey Mountain Color Loop: Yellow, Red, Green, Orange & White Trail Hike

Let’s explore the scenic Turkey Mountain Reservation with a multi-trail loop that covers Yellow, Red, Green, Orange, and White Trails. This moderate day hike will take us through beautiful forests, rocky ridgelines, and panoramic viewpoints over the New Jersey Highlands. The hike gives us a little bit of everything: shady woodlands, quiet streams, and open ridge vistas.

• Distance: ~5–6 miles (depends on final loop variation)
• Elevation Gain: 800–900 ft
• Difficulty: Moderate — rolling hills, rocky in sections, but no major climbs
• Estimated Time: 3–4 hours (including breaks)
  **We will meet at the Pyramid Mountain Visitor Center Main Parking Lot on Boonton Ave. The hike will start by crossing Boonton Ave and hiking the Turkey Mountain natural section**
