Anthony Wayne Recreation Area, Nestled in a wooded valley along the Palisades Parkway, features varied forest scenery. The trail is about 4.9 miles with 872 ft of moderate difficulty. The trail offers a mix of gravel roads, forest paths, rocky ridges, stone steps, and occasional stream crossings. Then we continue to the West Mountain ridge, where the path becomes rockier. You'll encounter rock slabs, ledges, and scrambling. Multiple ridge viewpoints provide splendid vistas of the Hudson Valley and nearby peaks.
