Fire Tower and Sterling Lake Loop Trail

Let's hike in Sterling Forest State Park. This hike is moderate difficulty, 8 miles, and about 1100 ft of elevation gain. First part, you will enjoy the breeze off the lake and the sparkling water as you embrace the stillness of the woods. Then you will concentrate on the ridge climb to the fire tower. The ridge sections consist of uneven glacial till, exposed bedrock, and rock scrambling.
