June AFOL Lego Meetup: Black & White and _____ all over

Casual and fun creative building with LEGO for adults.

Theme for this meeting:
Using the provided pieces, create a car, building, space ship or any other creation. However, you must primarily use just black, white and gray parts, with one accent color. This is along the lines of the recent Steamboat Willie set, but adding a dash of color to our creations.

There will also be a small speed build where you are given the parts, and you need to recreate the model seen in front of you.

Judging will be done by participants for the first build, and the 2nd build winner will be based on the person that accurately completes the speed build.

Prizes of small LEGO sets will be provided for each winner.

We have an pay-what-you-can policy. Feel free to contribute (or not) an amount that makes you comfortable via credit card here on Meetup or in cash at events. In the past, participants have contributed as little as $1 and as much as $20. The event is free and there is no obligation to contribute. Even if you are not able to contribute, you are still very welcome! Lego can be an expensive hobby and we want this group to remain accessible to everyone age 18+. We welcome casual fans, serious AFOLs, and newbies alike.

Contributions go towards snacks, room costs, Lego prizes, and meetup fees.
