NYCAFL (metro league) - Round 4

NYCAFL (New York City Australian Football League) is the Magpies' intraclub/metro/scrimmage league. The New York Magpies Women's team splits into two smaller teams - the Subway Sirens, and the Bodega Cats - to play a match.

Beginners are welcome! There will be time before the match to learn and practice footy skills. NYCAFL matches are a great introduction to Australian football!

Visiting Aussies and USAFL players from other teams are always welcome to join us for NYCAFL matches, too.

NYCAFL matches are held at Red Hook Park, Brooklyn. The nearest subway station is Smith-9 Sts (F and G train), about a 10-15 minute walk.

Wear athletic clothing that you feel comfortable running and jumping in! Most players wear football boots (cleats) but normal runners are fine, too. We will provide you with a playing jersey that you can wear for the day. Bring a water bottle, and a mouthguard!
