Curious about Chinese culture but don’t know where to start? Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to polish your skills, join us for a relaxed evening at The Hugh.

This isn't a stiff classroom session—it’s a dynamic gathering designed for NYC professionals and culture enthusiasts. We will explore the language through the lens of real-world experiences.

What we’ll explore together:
—Speak with Confidence: Master your self-introduction and nail those tricky tones so you sound like a local.
—Social & Dating Codes: Navigating Chinese dating culture and social etiquette (what to know before you meet the parents!).
—Travel Like an Insider: Thinking of visiting China? I’ll share "insider tips" on the latest travel trends, from using digital wallets to finding hidden gems that aren't in the guidebooks.

About the Host:
I’m originally from China and currently an MBA student at NYU. With over a decade in NYC and LA, and experience living in Japan (N1), I’ve traveled to 20+ countries as a global cruise interpreter. I’m passionate about bridging cultures and helping people navigate the beautiful complexity of China.

The Vibe:
Small, interactive, and friendly (max 8-10 people). We’ll meet at the communal tables at The Hugh—a perfect spot to grab a drink and dive into great conversation.
