Abstract: Auriga usa is a financial services company that operates in the residential mortgage space; but when they were looking to upgrade the functionality of their loan inventory management system to handle a slew of new features and different types of assets -- student loans, credit cards, asset-back securities etc. -- they found that a traditional
row/column database just couldn't handle the task without some significant code bloat. moving to mongodb solved a host of problems -- even ones we didn't know we had.
