Looking for a relaxed way to meet people in NYC on Halloween without committing to a big party or late-night event?
Join us on Saturday, October 31 at 12:00 PM for coffee, conversation, and a casual introduction to Esperanto in the Financial District.
Esperanto is an international language created to make communication across language backgrounds easier, but you do not need to know any before coming. This is mainly a social gathering where you can meet people, talk about languages, travel, culture, Halloween, and life in New York.
Since the meetup falls on Halloween, costumes or festive touches are welcome, but they are completely optional. Come dressed up, wear something small and seasonal, or just come as you are.
This is not a formal class. You can:

  • meet people in a relaxed daytime setting
  • hear Esperanto spoken in person
  • learn a few words or phrases
  • talk about languages, travel, culture, and NYC
  • listen, ask questions, or simply enjoy the conversation
