Call for lightening talks

Hey everyone

tl;dr: We need your help. Looking for lightning talks.

We're just a week away from the first New York PHP meetup of 2018 and super excited to get the ball rolling.

Our main speaker, Phil Sturgeon is presenting on "Getting Specific About APIs", a great talk about the various API standards and how you can improve yours.

We're looking for 2-3 individuals to present a "lightning talk" of between 10 and 15 minutes, on anything PHP or tech related. Some suggestions of things that would be good:

  • A new PHP composer package
  • What's new in Laravel 5.6?
  • How to handle your Jira backlog
  • How do you review your Pull Requests?
  • Git tips and tricks you didn't know existed

Or any other topic under the sun.

Lightning talks are typically pretty formal, and don't really require a slide deck and can be as simple as demoing a new tool or talking about an experience.

Please get in touch if you are interested.
