AI for Quantum

This talk explores the intersection of artificial intelligence and quantum computing, highlighting how AI techniques advance quantum system capabilities. We will cover the state-of-the-art, from quantum circuit optimization to generating efficient Quantum Error Correction (QEC) codes. Additionally, we will discuss how these techniques and new ones impact the path toward achieving Quantum Advantage.

Bio:
David leads part of the AI for Quantum effort at IBM, where he works in applying Artificial Intelligence to problems that arise in Quantum Computing. Some of his recent work includes quantum circuit optimization with Reinforcement Learning, AI-powered Qiskit transpiler passes, AI-based quantum circuit simulation for quantum advantage and quantum algorithm discovery with AI Agents. Before moving to quantum computing, he led an applied AI team at IBM, applying AI to different industry problems.
