With RHEL 6 going ELS in November, there is a lot of interest in how to get large numbers of RHEL 6 systems upgraded to RHEL 7 or 8 with as much automation as possible. Luckily, since the release of RHEL 7 Red Hat has provided tools to perform in-place upgrades between major releases. Mike Pagan, Senior RHEL Architect, will explain and demonstrate the capabilities of these tools, performing a live RHEL 6->7 upgrade right before your eyes. Technical considerations and gotchas will be discussed.
