For our first meetup of 2017, we'll have Nicolas Joseph of Gitlinks leading a talk on Akka streams.
Description:
Crunching through large amounts of data is a task that has become a common practice across businesses however the ways and methods to do so can vary widely. You can use Spark, Flink or … Akka streams. In this talk we will go through an introduction to using Akka Streams to process and move data. We will introduce the core concepts of the library and then move to some coding example to give you working knowledge of the library and its capabilities.
Please arrive at 6pm for pizza, refreshments and conversation. Nicolas will start his talk at 6:30pm.
Bio:
Nicolas is the VP of Engineering at Datalogue, he has been using scala for a couple of years. Before that he worked in other organizations such as Gitlinks, Linkurious, French DOD or Quandora.
