Let's Talk Scott Catalog with Jay Bigalke
Thursday, November 13, 6PM ET (11PM GMT)
What exciting times – we thought we would be chatting with the editor of Scott Catalog. Jay is now a partner in one of the most exciting ventures in the hobby in decades, Scott Stamp LLC.

The first Scott Catalogue was published in 1868 by John Walter Scott, a dealer and auctioneer. Cousin Gordon Harmer purchased the catalogue from Hugh M. Clark and, while we were told issues arouse about the business upon his death, which we thouight were related to selling the buisiness, based on an article by James Kloetzel brought to our attention by Michael S. (Thank you, Michael), Gordon sold the publication to Esquire Inc., in 1960, who sold it in 1970 to Hilmer Graphics, who sold it in 1973 to Henry Ginsberg group who sold it in 1977 to Frank Trumbower group. Amos Press purchased the publication in 1984.

Just last month, an announcement was made that Scott Stamp LLC (Jay Bigalke & David Fritz) acquired not only Scott Catalogue by Linns Stamp News and associated brands. While we are all grateful for Amos Press’s years of service to the hobby, Scott Publications is now back in collectors' hands.
