From the New York Chapter of The Theosophical Order of Service (TOS):
WINTER COAT DRIVE, held at the New York Theosophical Society.
Donate any gently used Coats, hats and gloves. These will be donated to homeless and needy New Yorkers through the Catholic Worker organization in Manhattan's Lower East Side.
December 14th Sunday:
At the New York Theosophical Society's 1st floor Lecture Hall at 242 E. 53rd St. Manhattan 10am – 3pm
This final day will be a light social event with tables and literature explaining the Theosophical Society, the TOS, and options for donating.
We will be serving Tea for those who want to stick around for a while: socialize and read Theosophical Society and TOS literature. See Theosophical Society and TOS videos. We will be there to talk and answer questions.
The TOS is the Service arm of the Theosophical Society.
The TOS was created by Annie Besant in 1908 as an adjunct to The Theosophical Society for those of Theosophical mind interested in being part of an organization dedicated to service work.
