September: Securing Containerised Workloads: The Kubernetes Approach

For our September meeting, we will have Cole Cornford delivering his lock note talk from Cloud Security Summit 2023, looking at Application Security and securing your Kubernetes containers.

We'll be hosted out of MudBath Digital in Hunter Street.
There is some on street parking available in the vicinity and the closest public transport is the Honeysuckle light rail stop.

The talk
Containers have radically transformed how organisations manage and deploy applications. Kubernetes has emerged as a leading platform for orchestrating these containers. However, as its usage soars, so do associated security risks.
This presentation will cover the following:

• Delving into Kubernetes security basics and prevalent threats
• Sharing strategies for fortifying Kubernetes clusters
• Highlighting case studies of successful Kubernetes security practices.

About Cole
Cole is the Founder and CEO of Galah Cyber, Australia’s leading Application Security consultancy. Cole founded Galah after working w/ internationally recognised organisations to plan, implement, and operate large-scale Application Security programs.
