June: Reviving an old EV - Tony Brown
Details
For June, we have Tony Brown and the story of getting very familiar with one of the world's first modern mass-produced EVs.
Tony's taken a 14 year old electric car barely capable of a 50km drive, and through battery replacement, CAN bus hacking and reverse engineering* of both the manufacturer's service software and the vehicle's ECU, turned it into a viable daily driver.
* may include stories of .net decompilation, obfuscation, the NSA and 32-bit RISC instruction sets that are not ARM.
We'd like to thank our sponsors:

We'll be hosted at Endava Newcastle. There is some on street parking available and the closest public transport is the Newcastle interchange.
