The world is celebrating Laughter on 4th May !
Join us in person in Newcastle, NSW Australia at 3pm (AEST) for a fun laughter session in the Foreshore Park, Train Sheds enclosure Newcastle East (walk across the park to the Train Shed from Wharf Rd or Stevenson place)
Every year on the first sunday in May, laughter groups and Laughter Clubs as founded by Dr Madan Kataria, around the world offer laughter classes to help spread happiness and joy, create community and help people like you to let go of stress.
Stress Less - Laugh more !
In our fun class you will learn to increase your natural laughter with powerful physical exercise and fun playful activities.
Laughter is proven by research to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, improve the health of your heart, reduce the symptoms of anxiety and depression and leave you feeling uplifted, light and happy. Laughter helps you feel connected to friends and family.
No jokes or humour are used !
You do not need to have a sense of humour or feel happy to attend.
Come with openness and a willingness to explore your laughter.
Laughter is a health cocktail for the body mind and spirit. In this class you will "switch on" your laughter button, that natural impulse we were all born with. We have all seen babies laughing - they do not need jokes or humour to laugh. It is as natural as breathing. Sometimes due to life events or a serious situation, our ability to laugh gets switched off and we can forget how good it feels to have a great laugh.
This class is your chance to reactivate your laugh.
Join like minded laughers and use the power of the group to ignite your laughter.
The class is not traditional yoga - No yoga mat or special clothing needed.
Laughter is magnified when practiced in a group as it is very contagious.
It is playful and fun. Laughing prepares our body and mind for deep relaxation and meditation, which will complete your class.
A towel or mat is useful if you want to lie down for relaxation/meditation.
Bring a water bottle and a portable chair if you would like to sit down during the class or the meditation .
