What we’re about

Food For Thought is a discussion group aimed at university students and recent graduates/university-aged people in Newcastle Upon Tyne. We meet once a week, Wednesdays from 7-8.30pm, at Costa Coffee, St Mary's Place. A different member of the group shares a 10-15 minute talk on a random topic (we have had everything from Identity to the Printing Press to Empathy to Maps.)

The group is started by the Christian organisation Agapé UK, but aims to create an open environment where people of all faiths, traditions, and worldviews can share food, drink and good conversation.

Is there still a place for compassion in this divided and polarised world? This Wednesday, we have a chance to share our perspectives on the big topics of empathy and the power of putting yourself in another's shoes.
We will have a short talk from a member of the community, followed by discussion questions and time to share our perspectives and learn from each other.
When? Wednesday 5th November, 7-8.30pm (and also every Wednesday during term time).
Where? Costa Coffee, St Mary's Place, NE1 7PQ.
Who for? University students and recent graduates.
Attendance is free, but please purchase a drink or snack from Costa, as staff stay after closing hours in order to generously host us and we want to show our appreciation!
