In the early 1800s Fatfield was a large victorian farm where pigs were fattened up before being turned in porky sossages and old ale pies. Nowadays the farm is the illustrious home of Washington Arts Centre after being loving restored.
There's a bar and restaurant and amazing outdoor courtyard where you can booze in the funshine, learn to play ukelele or dance hip hop and even do live nude drawings.. called sip n draw. For the Geordies its called booze n scribble. For the makhems its called drunken 'finga paintin'.
