FAQ
1. How do I reach you?
DM us on Instagram: @newcircle.bc
(Please follow before messaging — we don’t respond to non-followers)
2. What’s the deadline to cancel?
Full refunds are available up to 5 days before your assigned event date. After that, tickets can be transferred to someone of the same gender.
3. Is my number safe?
Yes. Contact information is only shared when two people mutually select each other. No exceptions.
4. We are a group (more than 2), can we get a special offer?
Yes. If Eventbrite doesn’t work for your group booking, buy tickets first and send screenshots to @newcircle.bc on Instagram. We’ll arrange the group offer.
Essentially: buy one, bring one free — meaning roughly half the group attends free or each person pays around $20.
5. My friend wants to come free. What do they need to do?
They need to purchase a 2-person ticket on Eventbrite so one person attends free.
6. How do matches work?
At the end of the night, participants open the app and select who they would like to connect with. If interest is mutual, contact details are shared. If not, nothing is exchanged.
7. What’s the free mingle for?
A 20-minute open social period to talk freely. If you connected with someone earlier or missed someone, this is your chance to reconnect.
8. How do the speed dating rounds work?
There are 10 rounds of 6-minute conversations. Participants rotate between seats for structured, real conversations.
9. How does the pitching part work?
After ordering food and drinks, each person gives a 1-minute introduction. If you came with a friend, you can introduce each other.
10. How does the app work?
You sign up and answer a short set of questions designed around relationship psychology. The app is used to record your preferences, manage contact sharing, and support matching after the event.
11. What if I’m shy?
By the time the structured rounds begin, you’ll already have broken the ice during the pitching segment, so conversations feel more natural.
12. I’m visiting Vancouver for the games — can I come?
Yes. The event is open to both residents and visitors. It’s designed for people in town who want to meet others in a real, structured setting.
13. Do I have to come alone?
No. You can come alone or with friends. Group offers are available — just DM us.
14. What should I wear?
Anything you feel comfortable and confident in.
